My Tandoori Indian Restaurant, Green Valley

Wake up -> Uni -> Tutoring -> Gym -> Sleep -> Repeat is pretty much how I spend the first 4 days of every week doing. Going out to eat fancy schmancy? Ain't nobody got time for that. Well occasionally. But most days of the week there's hardly any time and I'm sure most of us can agree. Menulog comes to the rescue here with their convenient online food delivery service to anyone who has a inch for convenient food without going down the path of fast fast food.

It's quite easy really. I ordered it through their website, filtering it down to ones available by delivery through my suburb in 'Bonnyrigg Heights Take-Away Restaurantsand then finding the right cuisine for the night. Indian? Only a click away.

Tandoori Platter 20.90
The tandoori plate suffers from the usual chronic problem of meats being dry and this sadly was no exception. However, the spicy flavour and smoky char of the exterior definitely makes up for it.

Garlic and Cheese Naan 4
Dip it all in with some of their naan. Throwing cheese and garlic on naan wouldn't be the most traditional but it certainly packs it with bags and bags full of flavour.

South Indian Style Fish Curry 16.9
And the best bit? Their curries. South Indian fish curry is right up my alley on a cold night, with enough richness from the coconut milk and spices with a balancing acidity from the tamarind and fish fillets cooked perfectly.

Butter Chicken 15.9
Butter chicken is also a must order with similarly perfectly cooked with moist fillets drenched in a wonderfully aromatic tomato based- gravy. Delicious.

My camera work was shoddy at best. Orange hued tables, take-away plating and poor lighting are no nos and Indian isn't exactly the most photogenic of foods but don't let that fool you. My Tandoori Indian is a small but noticeable step above your average Indian takeaway. And that's great news for me.

Petit4s was able to order through Menulog cutesy of Joshua Sorell from Menulog.

I'm totally digging all that cheese on the garlic naan :P When is cheese not welcome in copious amounts? :D

No, we aren't the most amazing gastronomes or chefs. Heck, half our team doesn't even know how to cook... well. However, what we really love is eating. And lots of it. We enjoy that occasional freebie, filling up that craving for a midnight snack and finding a 20 in our pockets that we thought we never had, and using that as an excuse to go out eating. As we battle the ongoing war on uni student poverty, we'll bring you the most swoon worthy recounts of our latest foodie adventures.
